![]() Ahhhhhhh... Sorry for not blogging in about two weeks. Life has just been getting to me, that's all. As you might have known, I went to Great America the weekend before last, and it was a total blast. I won't give a full account of it since I can't remember all that had happened, but it was a lot of fun. Even though it was a company event, there were still a whole lot of people. I even saw two Colorguard freshmeat and a fellow sophomore while I was there. There were six of us, and three of them were afraid of roller coasters, so it was kind of annoying when two of them wanted to sit out. At least we managed to get them on some of them, if not all. Anyway, in the morning, we went on the nice and easy rides and went to at the pavilion. Here are some pictures of my lunch. There was also a little midgets' playground in the pavilion, and being the little kids we are, In the sandy tetherball court, there was a little mushroom house that was absolutely adorable. Nana was attacked by little kids when she went in there... very amusing. In the afternoon, we went on more rides, including the semi-new ride that I've never been on, Firefall. At first, we had no idea what it did, so we decided to get in line and find out along the way. Turned out it was some sort of upside-down swing that spun around a lot, so for a minute I had my doubts. Four of us went on anyway, since two of them were terrified of hanging upside-down for longer than two seconds. It was more fun than I expected... I was laughing at Nana's screams and waving at my friends that were waiting at the bottom. Later on, my butt got soaked on the rapids and we went on a couple more roller coasters to dry off. When it started to get dark, we bought two funnel cakes and devoured them like deprived people. Anyway, last week I had four tests: one in history, chem, math, and Spanish. Terrible. I think I did okay on history, chem, and Spanish, but math is another story. It was insanely hard. On Monday, my teacher told us that the test average was a 44%. Can you believe it? That's terrible! I just found out yesterday that I got a 33%, but luckily it was curved, so I ended up with a nice 77%. Very scary stuff. How are you supposed to know how to do all of that stuff in your head without a calculator? Does everyone really know what cos(3) in radians is!? I momentarily forgot how to integrate trig functions and had a brain freeze... so I ended up guessing most if not all the brain only questions. We had a code red drill in school today. It wasn't as fun as last year (since my math teacher last year provided food and cards), and it only lasted for twenty-five minutes. Talk about a rip-off in wasting class time. I guess the police was faster in checking the barricades. Meh. Hey hey! I received a letter from the National Society of High School Scholars inviting me to join! I'm wondering whether or not they send this to everyone... so if they do, then I'll be sad and unspecial. I still don't see why they selected me out of my "outstanding academic achievement" when I'm lazy and not smart. Ah... I have so many projects to attend to next week... and I'm not going to even be there for most of the week! So as a result, I have to cram all my homework and project-get-togethers into Saturday, Sunday, and Monday of next week before I leave for Hawaii. -screams- Oh yeah. WordPress isn't going too well. I don't get it. Glompages: ♥ |
