![]() Anyway, on Saturday, my friend invited me and a couple other friends (there were seven of us total, including the birthday girl) to her house for a little birthday party. Turns out, we were going to Santa Cruz's Boardwalk in a limo. It was so cool, since I'm poor and have never rode in a limo. 8DDD Here are two pictures regarding the interior of the limo. Yeah, the second one is a picture of liquor bottles, but since we were underage they were empty. xDD Anyway, we got there around noon and bought tickets. We put my friend Kathy next to the measuring thing telling you how tall you were to check if she was tall enough. After we bought our tickets, we went on a couple rides... or actually the same few a couple of times since that day was limited operation. The birthday girl then treated us to some Dippin' Dots, despite the coldness. It was so cold that the dots were actually steaming, but it was still really good. After a couple more rides, we walked down the boardwalk and ended up in a candy shop, where Nana and I got free saltwater taffy samples from a very nice lady. :D Well, here are five more candy pictures from the same shop. Those jawbreakers are huge! And here's a picture of a taffy making machine. There' was also this really cool bench that I just wanted to take a picture of. xDD There was also this very scary laughing machine that was epically scary. o_o We went into the arcade by the candy shop and decided to play laser tag. It was pretty fun, except that I was terrible and was not very good at shooting. Either my gun was defective or everyone else's vests were defective. xDD Ah, whatever. After that side-excursion, we walked along the beach to get more food and to ride a couple more rides and to take random pictures of seagulls since they're my minions. Just if you didn't know, the one hair-flipping is Nana. xDD After getting some food (including popcorn, popcorn chicken, and curly fries), three of my friends decided to go take another walk along the beach while the rest of us stayed behind to wait for a friend to buy more curly fries. :P I guess we were supposed to meet back at the table where we sat, but when we got back the other three weren't there. So we went to look for them on the beach. After about five minutes, we finally saw them, but they wouldn't answer to our yells when we called their names. D< Meh. It took forever for them to notice, and it was really hard to run on sand. xDD We finally caught up to them and continued on to the harbor jutting out on the beach while taking pictures of the sand. It was filled with little shops, and I found many rather bizarre things. The shark is particularly bizarre; the others not so much. xDD After a really good bread bowl of clam chowder and after Kathy dragging Nana into yet another candy store to buy more candy and a candy-filled pinwheel for Nana's brother, it was time to head back to the main boardwalk since that was where the limo was picking us up. -exhales- Whew! That ends my long Boardwalk story. :D Now onto the SATII I took the same day. Meh. It wasn't terrible, but it tested me on a lot of basic stuff (and other really random stuff) that I never studied for and wasn't in my study booklets. I mean, recursive functions? I don't even remember what they do. Seriously. So after I took it, I emoed over it the next day for a while since I probably missed out on that 800 I could have gotten. DDD: I'm planning on retaking it in may unless I actually got an 800 (unlikely, since I omitted five questions). Moving on. On Monday, we finally got our totally awesome yearbook jackets! I'm totally in love with mine, since I chose the "I PWN JOO. XD" on the back and that I have a title other than "Staff". Yay for being an assistant design editor! For those that don't know, the "Oh crop" refers to cropping an image. My friend (the other assistant design editor) came up with that. Yesterday (the 28th) was also two colorguard freshmeat's birthdays. One of the members baked delicious cupcakes for everyone, and they were really good. I liked the chocolate on top~ You're very jealous, aren't you? Okie dokie artichokie! We have finally arrived at my horrible badminton story. D: So basically, tryouts started on Monday, or that's what I thought. I totally forgot about them until my friend reminded me in math class, so I panicked and bothered my mom about bringing me my racket and a pair of shorts. She was busy with work, but I was annoyingly persistent and she finally gave in. It turned out it wasn't even a tryout because the basketball team was hogging the field house. It was just a little informational. The real tryouts were supposed to be today (Thursday), but I sadly didn't have the proper forms. I already got a physical, but it turns out that you were supposed to have more forms with parent signatures and all that good stuff... so I'll get my parents to sign those forms and go make a fool of myself at conditioning tomorrow. -sigh- Ah well. If I fail badminton (which I probably will due to my terrible skills), I always have gymnastics, which I'll suck even more at since I'm the farthest thing from flexible. At least there aren't any cuts. Nana hopes I fail badminton so I can do gymnastics with her. How cruel. DDD: That ends my uber-long picture-filled rant today. G'night now. I shall go do math homework as well as draw a picture for my friend of herself. o_o Glompages: ♥ |
