Originally the extremely inactive and dead Blossoming Heaven, I decided to change the site name, hosts, and make it more active. After nearly a week of fussing over the move and changing the layout, Senritsu officially opened on the 20th of September, 2006. I ended up making a lot of wonderful friends on the world wide web, and continue to blog at least once a week -cough cough sometimes-.

In September 2009 though, Hera warned all of her hostees that she was planning to move and asked if we still wished to be hosted by her. I immediately replied saying "yes", and after a couple of weeks, I had chosen a new subdomain under her domain at Star-Kiss.ORG and began the moving process. That's also when I changed the name from Senritsu to Simplistic.

Simplistic's now just a place where I dump all of my photoshopped goods and random works of "art". It's basically a place for me to organize my thoughts, like a gigantic portfolio of... stuff. That probably didn't make any sense at all, but yeah. o_o But basically I just rant and complain here about daily life.

I'd also like to give a big shout-out and lots of hugs to my lovely hostess Hera, who has hosted Simplistic (previously Senritsu) ever since December 31, 2006! Yay Hera! <3

The Story Behind the Name

I wanted a new name besides Blossoming Heaven (which was the name of my first blog) because it's too long and unreasonable. xDD So I thought of Melody (since my name actually means melodious), but "Melody" was too common and too uninteresting. So then I looked it up in the Japanese translation for a more interesting site name (because at the time I was obsessed with Japanese names and wanted a coolio-sounding and original name). The result "Senritsu" came up, and I decided that it sounded rather pretty at the time. Therefore, I used it for three years until Hera decided to change hosts and move. That finally gave me an opportunity to change the name, which I had wanted to do for a very long time.

I was originally going to rename my blog Aria, but I changed my mind last minute and named it Simplistic because

It starts with the first letter of my name
It defines me better than "Aria" does
I'm not musical and can't sing or play an instrument to save my life even if that's what my name means.

Simplistic pretty much defines me - I'm a very simple person who loves the simple pleasures in life. And if you want to take it even further, it has a slightly negative connotation, pointing towards the direction that I'm simple-minded as well, which is also quite true. So as a result, the rebirth of Senritsu became Simplistic.
